The rapid advancement of materials science in today’s world has made the depth and breadth of non-metallic mineral development a key indicator of scientific and technological progress. China is currently undergoing critical industrial transformation, with innovation-driven development becoming a national priority. Under these circumstances, upgrading the application sector of non-metallic minerals and accelerating the formation of new economic models have become imperative. As essential foundational materials for strategic emerging industries, non-metallic mineral functional materials are playing an irreplaceable role in cutting-edge fields like new energy, electronics, daily chemical products, rubber and plastic modification, specialty coatings, environmental protection, and eco-friendly construction. Lingshou County in Hebei Province, leveraging its abundant resources including mica, vermiculite, quartz, feldspar, dolomite, kaolin, and marble, along with over 500 manufacturing enterprises, has developed into North China’s largest non-metallic mineral processing cluster. For three decades, it has made significant contributions to the growth of China’s non-metallic mineral materials industry.
To thoroughly implement the national “14th Five-Year Plan” for new material industry development and promote the advancement of mineral functional materials toward high-end, green, and intelligent directions, while further leveraging the leading role of Lingshou County’s non-metallic mineral industry cluster, the Building Materials Industry Technology Information Research Institute and the Non-Metallic Mineral Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance have jointly decided to host the 2025 Non-Metallic Mineral Functional Materials Industry Innovation Development Conference in Lingshou County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province from August 22 to 24,2025. Themed “Technology Empowers Industrial Upgrading, Driving High-Quality Development,” this conference will bring together industry academicians, experts, upstream/downstream enterprise representatives, and government officials. Through formats including cutting-edge technology briefings, discussions on key common challenges and industry hotspots, and exhibitions of new products and equipment, it aims to provide a substantive platform for academic-industrial collaboration. The event seeks to jointly explore new pathways for high-quality development in China’s mineral functional materials industry under current circumstances.
